About AYTEF
Since 2003, the Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF) has been committed to enriching the lives of underserved youth through tennis and education. We are a nonprofit organization using the power of sport and learning to create opportunity, build confidence, and strengthen communities.
Our Story
AYTEF began with a simple mission: to provide free, high-quality tennis and academic support to youth in some of our most underserved neighborhoods. For many years, we operated out of Washington Park Tennis Center, offering after-school programs and hosting Serve & Connect events that brought together local youth and law enforcement for positive interaction and connection through tennis.
When the pandemic disrupted traditional programming, AYTEF responded with resilience. In December 2020, we launched a new chapter at Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, GA, where we now serve as a hub for consistent, year-round programming that blends sport, education, and life skills.
Where We Are Today
AYTEF serves approximately 400 youth annually, providing 46 weeks of tennis instruction and educational enrichment each year. Our programs are rooted in Sports-Based Youth Development (SBYD), designed to nurture each child’s physical, academic, and emotional well-being.
Through strong partnerships with Cobb County Parks & Recreation, the USTA Foundation, and local schools and volunteers, AYTEF has become a trusted resource in the Fair Oaks community, offering access, mentorship, and support for youth and their families.
As a proud member of the USTA National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network, we are inspired by Arthur Ashe’s vision of equity through sport and continue to uphold those values in all we do.
