AYTEF Designated a USTA Community Impact Hub

AYTEF has been selected as one of the nation’s first USTA Foundation Community Impact Hubs

The Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF), in partnership with the L.E.A.D. Center for Youth, is proud to represent Atlanta as part of this groundbreaking initiative. The USTA Foundation’s Community Impact Hub program uses the power of tennis to create equitable opportunities and lasting impact for young people and families in under-resourced communities.

A National Stage for Atlanta

AYTEF’s selection places Atlanta among ten Community Impact Hubs nationwide, with recognition at the 2025 US Open. Throughout the tournament, all Hubs will be featured across national media, social platforms, and even inside the stadium—showcasing how tennis can transform communities.

What This Means for Metro Atlanta

As a Community Impact Hub, AYTEF joins a national network dedicated to reaching tens of thousands of youth and families by 2027. Backed by a $6 million investment from the USTA and USTA Foundation, AYTEF will expand programs that combine tennis, education, and mentorship to create holistic community impact. Key focus areas include:

  • Tennis in Schools: Bringing tennis programs before, during, and after school to meet students where they are.

  • Family Engagement: Connecting families through tennis and supportive services to strengthen community bonds.

  • Access & Facilities: Expanding access to tennis in underserved neighborhoods.

  • Coach & Mentor Development: Training a new generation of coaches to provide guidance and mentorship.

Building on a Legacy

This designation strengthens AYTEF’s mission to expand opportunity, increase access, and empower Atlanta’s youth to thrive. Inspired by the legacy of Arthur Ashe and the NJTL network, the Community Impact Hub initiative shows how tennis and education can change lives—on and off the court.

Our Annual Impact

AYTEF is committed to showing up year-round for metro Atlanta’s youth. Here’s what that looks like in action:

  • 334 youth served annually

  • 92% identify as youth of color, and 56% qualify for free/reduced lunch

  • 600+ hours of tennis instruction delivered

  • 250+ hours of academic enrichment

  • 495 volunteer hours completed by 148 volunteers

  • 46 weeks of consistent programming

  • 135 new youth introduced to tennis through community outreach

Join Us in Making an Impact

AYTEF is grateful to the USTA and USTA Foundation for this opportunity. Together, we are creating pathways for underserved youth right here in Atlanta—one of the nation’s most dynamic tennis communities.
