The Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amechi Okoh as its new Executive Director. Amechi brings more than a decade of experience leading youth development, education, and community‑based programs across Metro Atlanta. She is known for strengthening organizations through systems building, program excellence, and a steady, people‑centered leadership style.

Amechi has held key leadership roles at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, East Atlanta Kids Club, Girls on the Run, and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. Across these positions, she has overseen multi‑site programming, developed high‑performing teams, implemented operational systems, and deepened partnerships with schools, community organizations, and civic leaders. Her work has consistently centered on expanding access, improving program quality, and creating environments where young people feel supported and able to thrive.

A two‑time graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Amechi brings a strategic, grounded, and community‑rooted approach to her work. She maintains professional affiliations with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the African American Development Officers Network (AADO), and the United Way of Greater Atlanta VIP Program. Outside of her professional roles, Amechi serves as a youth ministry leader and enjoys spending time with her dog, Leo. She is honored to join AYTEF at this pivotal moment and looks forward to partnering with the board, staff, families, and community to advance the organization’s mission and deepen its impact across the South Cobb region.
