Katherine Gooding Service Day
USTA Atlanta is launching a tennis league that gives adaptive players with special needs and Junior Team Tennis players a chance to play together and form great friendships. Volunteers will help serve as on-court umpires to help players keep score and call lines, as well as serve as ball 'kids' to help retrieve balls between points.
Volunteers will enjoy light brunch and fellowship in remembrance of Katherine. Her leadership and passion towards serving adaptive youth will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her dearly.
The Katherine Gooding Memorial Fund was established in 2020 in honor of the service, leadership, and character Katherine embodied in all aspects of her life. Donations to this fund not only support service initiatives that benefit Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation youth and programs, but also are used to recognize extraordinary examples of leadership and character displayed by individuals affiliated with our organization's efforts.

2022 Katherine Gooding Service Award
Congratulations to Heys Parker for earning the 2022 Katherine Gooding Service Award for the outstanding service, leadership, and character he displayed in executing an Eagle Scout project to benefit AYTEF youth. Over the course of an entire year, Heys planned, designed, and built two study tables with partitions used by participants of our AYTEF GameSetMatch program at Fair Oaks Tennis Center. These tables are very much appreciated by youth and staff during our life-skills lessons or academic enrichment tutoring each Monday and Wednesday throughout the year.
Thank you, Heys, for exemplifying the characteristics of this award given in Katherine's honor.
