Torrey Hawkins has been a coach in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. As a 2-sport college athlete, he initially came to Atlanta to be a student-athlete at both Morehouse College and Georgia State University. 


Since then, he has coached tennis at all levels ranging from beginners to league players and competitive tournament level juniors to international players. Hawkins has coached college tennis, as well as coached on both Men’s & Women's Pro Tours. He has traveled the world, been to all 4 Grand Slams, and coached against many of the world’s best competitors, including Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. 


Hawkins brings a wealth of experience to the non-profit world as both a proven coach and esteemed business director. He has developed not only players, but programs as well. Hawkins has been part owner or partner in 3 different tennis companies over the past 15 years, has run his own tennis academy, and has worked with the largest tennis program in the country. Hawkins has also served as a USTA National Level Tournament Director and has been invited to speak for numerous tennis entities across the country.

Debbie Kennedy played Division I tennis at University of Wisconsin and Georgia Institute of Technology. Upon graduation from GA Tech in 2001, Debbie joined Teach for America and taught elementary school at A.D. Williams Elementary on Atlanta’s Westside. She was a part of the founding team of teachers at KIPP WAYS Academy. 


Debbie received her teaching certificate from Georgia State University and her Masters in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University. She homeschooled each of her three children, and also helped direct Chattahoochee Foundation, a non-profit organization that eventually merged with Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation.
